DH was in pants and a dress shirt and I was wearing a dress. family of four that walked in had me wondering if there is ant type of dress code etiquette when dining out. were two boys who looked to be about 10 and 12. was in track pants and a sweatshirt and the other in jeans and a sweatshirt. mom was in skin tight jeans and a shirt. it might matter to some, I would guess the mom weighed about 300 pounds) dad was in jeans, sweatshirt, sneakers, and wore a baseball cap. did NOT remove the cap during dinner.

I just read an email from yesterday, I was Prom Jurken too busy to actually read it fully. there is now a dress code in effect. YUCK. We all knew it was coming for over a month, but now its official.

Guess I will be going shopping during winter break. I'm glad that it said Denim is allowed as long as it looks neat with appropriate shirts shoes. We have gone from absolutly no dress code to business/business casual with exceptions.

I am not looking forward to shopping. If this happened 5 years ago, I would have been all over it, but Trouwjurken 2013 since I had my boys, shopping just does not appeal to me. Inspiration-I have chosen a vibrant red and Korte Cocktailjurken a complementary yellow. My design has been influenced by Matthew style. I have combined clean, simple lines with interesting detail and pattern using vibrant colours. I decided to design a dress with a jacket as the dress can be worn alone but for a different look it can also be worn with the jacket. They work well together as one continuous pattern and theme.

What I would consider a well-defined policy would be more than what I could fit here lol. My current organization's dress code includes a 3/4 page list of examples of appropriate business casual attire.

In essence, though, proper business casual attire is neat and professional shirts/blouses and slacks/skirts. Clothing should be clean, pressed, and in good condition (no holes, frayed edges, etc.). It should be loose-fitting and of an appropriate length for the office. Tank tops/spaghetti straps are only appropriate under a sweater or jacket. Denim is not business casual.

Take that FWIW, though, as I work in an industry (accounting) that is still very very conservative, and only relaxed standards from business professional dress every day recently.
